Bimetal bullets feature a jacket consisting of alternating sheets of copper and steel, then pressed together. The heat generated from the pressure fuses the sheets of copper and steel together forming a new alloy called bimetal. By doing this, Wolf has made a dependable and durable bullet, well still keeping it inexpensive for the general market. 9mm Luger ammo by Wolf is new production, non-reloadable, non-corrosive and features steel cases and Boxer primers. Wolf Polyformance 9mm Luger ammo is packaged in boxes of 50 and cases of 1000.

    The Bi-Metal bullet of the Wolf Polyformance 9mm Luger rounds consists of a lead core and a copper plated steel jacket. Though the Wolf ammunition factory is based out of Russia, these 9mm Luger rounds are delivered straight from sunny California.

    I actually purchased the Military Classic, but received the Wolf Polyformance. I sent an email asking why, but I received no reply as of this review. I'm not sure, but I believe the two are identical except for the packaging and the type of primer. That's what I have surmised from reading the ammunition info on their respective pages. I have only shot 50 rounds so far, through a Glock 19, but I've had no FTF and no jamming.

    Ran 600 rounds and only had 2 rounds not feed into my sig 229. I ran again in another mag and did fine second time through.

    This 9mm ammo is very dirty. This 9mm ammo is also cheap. If you plink a lot, this isn't bad 9mm ammo. If you target practice, go with something a little more consistent.

    Greetings: I was told Glock will take any less-expensive ammo; and it has been true in my experience until I tried this Polyformance ammo. So far I had 2 empty shells stuck in the barrel of my Glock 19 that not only didn't eject, they both jammed so bad that even the technician at the range had hard time taking them out. This happened with the first two 50-round boxes from the 1000 lot that I ordered. I did not recall if both defected shells were from the same box or one from each. I only took two boxes to the range for try out in comparing them with the military classic that I had previously ordered (also 1000 lot). I presume I will find out more about the jamming frequency after I finish my military classic and start using this lot exclusively. I am not a gun expert and therefore I don't have any baseline in determining if one out of 50 rounds or two for that matter is acceptable or not; but I was a bit perplexed and disappointed about the inconsistency of the quality on the ammo given they are of the same brand and family. I will take that as lessons learned and will not consider Polyformance ammo again. With that said, Target Sports as an online vendor has always been great from day one in terms of ordering and shipping - 5 stars for the vendor; a bit disappointing (due to the quality uncertainty) on the ammo.     My Browning and Beretta have no problems with this ammo. I have been shooting this brand and others like it since the 80's, yes it is a little dirtier than US made ammo so do what you should do after shooting, clean your gun. It goes bang when I squeeze the trigger and is fairly accurate.

    It is not match grade. It is not quality self defense ammo. It is not "clean". It is not able to be reloaded. It IS the least expensive. Therefore I am able to practice more often. It IS plenty accurate enough! I am willing to pay more for a self defense round (I don't shoot hundreds of those rounds every month). I clean my guns after shooting. So what if it makes the gun "dirtier" than other ammo? And sometimes I enjoy shooting and not picking up my brass for my reloads.

    I have had good luck in the past with 45 auto Wolf ammo, but Wolf 9 mm ammo feeds terribly in both of my CZ 75's. The case of the shell seems to catch and will not feed on its own. The slide either will not close and must be manually racked or closes and jambs. I don't know if it's just this batch or all Wolf ammo, but both CZ's have eaten everything else I have fed them.

    Just tried to fire my 9mm and had 2 misfires right off. I did get one round off but didn't need to shoot any farther.. the racoon was dead. I won't be using Wolf ammo in my pistol.

    Product was as advertised. 1000 rounds of steel cased 9mm ammo. Shipping was free (only paid for shipping insurance-less than $3) Found one round out of the lot that felt different when handled, disassembled the round and found a double charge of powder which is the reason for only 4 stars on quality. Would have liked the price on this 9mm ammo to be lower but who doesn't want less expensive ammo.

    With stock Firing pin spring in glock 17L they all go bang, ok accuracy for pinking, no good for target. If you have a ghost trigger kit or equivalent with a lighter pin spring you will get MANY failure to fires. Hard primers.
