I should have read the product description, as I did not realize this was for 500 rounds of loose ammunition in a large ziplock bag. This however does not impact my review of the quality, value or performance of this ammunition.
As I organized the loose ammo in my ammo can, I found 8 rounds had the bullet noticeably seated/pushed into the casing a bit more than the “normal” ones, and several had dings and dents on the casings, but these were strictly superficial and did not affect performance.
One round did seemed like it was crimped down on the side, but it seated just fine and fired with no issue.
My biggest, albeit pettiest complaint is that I paid for 500 rounds and received 496. I would appreciate better quality control from this manufacturer/distributor.
I had the opportunity to run about 150 rounds of this ammo through my Sig 1911x and it performed well, overall. Out of the 150 rounds I shot, I only had one jam. The round did not seem to have any noticeable imperfections upon inspection. At between 7 and 10 yards, groupings were overall consistent.
Overall, I think this is a decent training round, especially at ~37¢/round, however I will not be purchasing loose ammunition again due to the lack of quality control and being shorted a few rounds.
