Comments and Reviews on TSA Basic 9mm Ammo 124 Grain Full Metal Jacket
I am competitive shooter and trainer and was caught off guard by a BYOB (bullets) job request and found these in stock. I ordered 2000. So for the geeks (skip to end if you are not): I took five boxes from each case I pulled five rounds from each box to examine. That's a sample of 50 of 2000 or just over 2%. First - visual inspection of the primer, case, and projectile inspection - no visible defects. "TSA" head stamping, appears new. Second - OAL averages. Taking a 2 foot aluminum level I set it on top of the rounds to see what touches and what doesn't OAL was rfunning 1.15 which is inside SAMMI and no observed round was more than +/- 1/32 of any other round. Chrono - using an Oehler 35P Chronograph I ran three strings of 5 to get an average of 1116 fps from a Glock 19. The largest swing was 17 fps. Range - I fed it via factory Glock Magazines in a stock Gen 5 Model 45 and noticed no tumbles, flyers, or ammo related deviations. No malfunctions, no unusual amount of fouling. Moderate speed groups all held under 4 inches out to 15 yards. Short story - Looks remarkably like Sellier & Bellot, performs identically to S&B, the box says made in the same country as S&B, and it is clearly uniformly manufactured with decent quality controls. I realize pricing right now (July 2020) is zany but I was happy to find this in stock and could find no reason to not buy it again. We can all hope for $250 a case prices to return, but if you need to shoot before then, I would buy this head to head with CCI / Win or Fed as a practice round just based on best price in the moment.
Comments and Reviews on TSA Basic 9mm Ammo 124 Grain Full Metal Jacket
High quality ammo. If you like Sellier and Bellot you’ll love this. Looks, tastes, and smells like S&B (see picture). People complaining about value need to stop. In a time where no one else had anything in stock, this was available at a decent price, especially for the current gun/ammo craze. Heck, I paid $20/box for cheap russian steel ammo at my range just to have a few extra boxes. Shoots clean and not one issue after a 200 round range session. Thanks TSA.
Comments and Reviews on TSA Basic 9mm Ammo 124 Grain Full Metal Jacket
Meh. I thought this was just decent ammo at best. I'm no expert when it comes to ammo but I think this ammo runs very dirty and to me had a lot more muzzle flash than normal from my gfs Glock 19. So far shot 300 RDS and got another 300 to go..
Comments and Reviews on TSA Basic 9mm Ammo 124 Grain Full Metal Jacket
I have a comped gun that I carry and like most comped guns it needs +p ammo to reliably cycle. I usually train with Winchester 124 NATO but being that is unable to be found I tried this ammo. It specifically says it’s not +p or NATO but it specifically says it’s throwing 124 grain projectiles at +p velocities so I tried it out. When I got the box it said on it do not swallow and do not shoot in a comped gun. I did both and it worked out perfectly fine so far. Would buy again as training ammo.
Comments and Reviews on TSA Basic 9mm Ammo 124 Grain Full Metal Jacket
Very happy with this ammo. Just went through 300 rounds. Accurate, clean, and no malfunctions. Will buy again. Also recommend Prime membership if you train a lot or just want to buy a box of ammo to try because you don't have to buy bulk to get free shipping.
Comments and Reviews on TSA Basic 9mm Ammo 124 Grain Full Metal Jacket
I measured muzzle velocity with a sig p320 This ammo shoots very clean, very pleased with the results. Covid pricing is extremely high at this time but would be competitive at 180 per 1000
Comments and Reviews on TSA Basic 9mm Ammo 124 Grain Full Metal Jacket
All the mystery on who makes TSA 9mm 124gr ammo. Got my order today and it look just like S&B. Shipping box markings and the Ammo box packaging, all exactly like S&B, dimensions and weight etc. The ammo brass and bullets are new looking, and extremely shiny just like S&B. Not sure why TSA does not just say S&B makes our ammo. S&B is great ammo, nothing to be ashamed of. Each box says made in Czech Republic where S&B is. 5 starts all around except I give "0" stars for TSA openness and transparency. Stop the "ring around the rosie" with your customers.
Comments and Reviews on TSA Basic 9mm Ammo 124 Grain Full Metal Jacket
Very pleased! Shoots clean; no smoke noticed. Impeccable TSA service as we have come to expect. Nice feature of packing was a strap around one box in the carton, which facilitated easy removal of that first box from the carton. Someone should be commended for thinking of the end user. Looking forward to what pricing will be in “normal times.” Overall, job well done!
Comments and Reviews on TSA Basic 9mm Ammo 124 Grain Full Metal Jacket
Just came back from the range shot 100 round on two different guns, 3.1" and 4.5" barrels, perform without any issue on both guns good accuracy and really clean looking ammo, will order again...thanks Target Sports you guys are the best in the market.
Comments and Reviews on TSA Basic 9mm Ammo 124 Grain Full Metal Jacket
The order showed up in just a few days. Everything good. It shot well, I put 100 rounds downrange through 2 different pistols with zero issues. The ammo is clean, shiny, etc- everything expected from quality ammo. I'll get it again.
Comments and Reviews on TSA Basic 9mm Ammo 124 Grain Full Metal Jacket
I ordered 1000 rd case Friday night, and it was delivered Tuesday afternoon! Looking at the ammo, it is in good shape. I have not used it yet, will amend my review if it does not work well.
Comments and Reviews on TSA Basic 9mm Ammo 124 Grain Full Metal Jacket
Ordered ammo at a time when it is hard to find, lucky for me Target Sports USA had their own ammo ready and in stock when I was looking. With prices as high as they are this was the best deal around. It's made in the Czech Republic, comes in a small compact box and my rounds are dated 11-06-2020. The brass casings look clean, I can't really complain with the ammo. No its not 17 cents a round with discounts and mail in rebates, i wouldn't expect that now though, maybe when the ammo market stabilizes the price will go down, but for the environment we are currently in, seems like decent ammo. Looking forward to going to the range soon to try it out.
Comments and Reviews on TSA Basic 9mm Ammo 124 Grain Full Metal Jacket
I received my order of Target Sports Ammunition 9mm Luger 124 grain FMJ rounds dated 29-05-2020, made in the Czech Republic. I have not had a chance to use it at the range so I can’t comment on performance yet. The packaging is no frills, small box, pretty standard stuff. The ammo looks like virgin brass 9mm target rounds, nothing fancy. No corrosion or dings and they look like they were made with quality component with love and care. Shipping was fast as always and left the Target Sports warehouse the next day. Once the ammo was delivered on my doorstep I could feel its power surging through me. In the few hours I have owned these bullets I have noticed my hair is growing in fuller, my erections have been rock hard, my eyesight is now 20/10 and my wife thinks everything I do is perfect. Buying this ammo is the greatest thing I have ever done for myself, my marriage or my country. Than you Target Sports USA. USA,USA, USA .

Question:CONGRATULATIONS, TARGET SPORTS USA! Looks like you've finally gotten your supplier's manufacturing Quality Control under control! After having had sizing issues with previous batches, I ordered a box of these to see if things had improved. After gauge testing every round, I am happy to report that they all passed, with not even a single "boarder line" round in the bunch. Each and every round freely dropped into, and sat perfectly in the gauge. Well done! Now, if only they were available in 115 grain....... - Steve (11/03/2020)
Response:We are constantly working on improving :-)
Question:Any plans on making other TSA cartridges like 556? - Brandon (11/02/2020)
Response:Hello Brandon, YES we have in the works as well, however as of right now the market conditions are not in our favor. Thank you for visiting Target Sports USA.

Response:Hello Scott, we will add another container for this 9mm ammo for sale sometime today after lunch. Thank you for visiting TargetSportsUSA.com
Question:Just purchased! Thanks for the more reasonable price. New to this hobby and enjoy using your site. I noticed no 45 ACP in a while. Is that even harder to get than 9mm? Will you have this in 45 sometime? - David (10/29/2020)
Response:Hello David, we will have more of 45 ACP Ammo back in stock next week from all Federal/CCI brands. Thank you for buying ammo online at TargetSportsUSA.com
Question:Seeing comments re: the casing size having issues from a couple of months ago. Is everything copacetic with the size and performance on these rounds now? Thanks! - Matt (10/29/2020)
Response:all issues have been resolved.
Question:Where is this ammo made? - eileen (10/20/2020)
Response:Hello Eilleen, this 9mm ammo is made in the Czech Republic. Thank You for visiting TargetSportsUSA.com
Question:Is this ammo corrosive, and when are you expecting more? - Brandon (09/24/2020)
Response:October 20th, 3000 cases arriving of this non-corrosive 9mm brass case ammo. Thank you for visiting TargetSpotsUSA.com
Question:I'm a big fan of Target Sports. You have great ammo selection and been very happy with quality and service. I really wanted to like this ammo in times like these. However, this TSA 9mm batch is very dangerous. Jams, casing sizes is so random that this ammo is useless. Returning with customer service was very helpful. I'll give TSA ammo another chance if they get this issue resolved. Let me know when a new batch and quality control is checked. - Brian (08/17/2020)
Response:agreed, will do...Thank you for the feedback.
Question:Allow me to start by saying how much I really like your company. You get ammo that most other dealers can't, even in these trying times. Your web integration is second to none, combining product information, real time inventory tracking, ordering, and restocking notifications, in a manner that few, if any, of your competitors even hope to achieve. That, combined with your excellent customer service, "Prime Ammo" option, and fast shipping, give you a sure fire, winning presence in your business area. That is why I am so surprised that you have not taken a more proactive approach to the sizing issues that have arisen with your Target Sports, 124 grain, 9mm ammunition. After experiencing a potentially dangerous live round malfunction, I contacted your company to make sure you knew that there was an issue. My initial emails went unanswered. I finally received a reply from your Marketing department, and at their request, I returned the oversized rounds to you for evaluation. That was the last I heard from Marketing. In the "Questions and Answers" section of this product's web page, I asked if the problem had been resolved, and I, as well as several others, was assured that it had been taken care of. I ordered a box from the last batch that came in, and set about checking them before taking them to the range. I stopped when the third round I gauge checked failed to chamber, sitting 2.15mm above the face of the gauge. I then checked both the overall length and the case length, and found both to be within SAAMI specs. It is evident that the issue has not been resolved. I fully understand, and I'm sure most other effected users do as well, that the problem lies with the manufacturer, and not with TSUSA. But, as the manufacturer's name appears nowhere on the packaging, or your web site, the only name people will associate with this issue, is yours. And unfortunately, when other users start to experience these same issues, with rounds from this new batch, their displeasure will be directed at the only name they have, Target Sports USA. This will be my final communication regarding this issue. As a retired Law Enforcement firearms instructor with 19 years experience, I felt an obligation to ensure that you knew and understood the issue, and the potential danger it posed. I have explained it as best I could, and provided you with detailed measurements and examples. I am satisfied that I tried my best to assist you, I can only hope that you will take appropriate steps to truly resolve the problem. Good luck, stay safe, Steve Schurmann. - Steve (08/14/2020)
Response:Hi Steve, as per your email.. We are 100% working on getting this resolved asap...Thank you for your time and input, it means a lot.
Question:Can't wait to try these on the range. I know in these times, beggars can't be choosers. Although I haven't tried on the range yet, thank you for providing a product at a reasonable cost that allows us to keep practicing. Look forward to .380 ACP as well. If it works out like I predict, will not be my last order. Despite the wait time, so much more convenient than driving to your local BIG BOX store and looking at empty shelves. - Christopher (08/12/2020)
Response:Thank you
Question:Hi. Are you sure the case size issue is corrected. Had no problem with my glock factory barrel. Switched to my Zev barrel today and ran 50 rounds with 4 rounds failing to go into battery. I was able to get into battery by giving a mild tap to the back of the slide as i could not get the slide to rack back to get the rounds out. I am still running the 1st batch you sold, but want to make sure the problem is corrected before i buy more. Other then that issue, that seems to be with aftermarket barrels i like the ammo. - Steven (08/08/2020)
Response:The issue has been resolved ....
Question:Were you able to determine what caused the failure to chamber issues people were experiencing with rounds from the last batch? Has the manufacturer corrected whatever was wrong? - Steve (08/06/2020)
Response:It was the length of the shell, that was address and fixed. Thank you
Question:I was able to get a few boxes of this ammo yesterday for testing, im sure i'll be getting more when available again. Any ETA? Thanks and be safe! -Doug - Doug (08/01/2020)
Response:End of this week we will have more of this 9mm ammo back in stock. Thank you for your patience
Question:Hi, I just purchased 11 boxes of this. I am glad to see it. Will you be making any 380 FMJ ? - Linda (07/31/2020)
Response:Yes, .380 and other calibers are in the works. Thank you for your patience.
Question:Keep going, Target Sports!! Thanks for keeping us in ammo! Some of us understand how capitalism works!! You’re doing great - Michael (07/31/2020)
Response:Thank you
Question:Enjoyed shooting this today - will you be getting more 9mm fmj? - Chandler (07/22/2020)
Response:Yes, next week another shipment arriving. Thank you for your patience.
Question:Have any other customers, with a Lone Wolf Distributors Alpha Wolf barrel, contacted you with issues of this ammo not fully chambering and keeping the gun from going into battery? - Nolineil (07/19/2020)
Response:We are looking into it.. will keep you posted
Question:Hello, any idea when other calibers will be under your brand? Like 300acc blackout? - Oscar (07/14/2020)
Response:30-60 days we will have TSA 300 Blackout on the shelves. Thank you for visiting TargetSportsUSA.com
Question:Most retailers selling a private label brand don't disclose the actual manufacturer for numerous reasons. If you don't want to buy it because they won't tell you, don't. I ordered a few boxes and look forward to trying it. I signed up for email notification when back in stock because I expect to want more. Everything I've bought here has been quality, as advertized and I expect the same from this 9mm ammo. Try to get your grocery store to tell you who makes their brand of green beans, or ask Bass Pro who makes their stuff. Enough complaining. There's a shortage, be glad you can get any. Thanks TSA! - ERIK (07/13/2020)
Response:well said Eric. We have another container on the water arriving soon.
Question:Is this ammo safe to use in a firearm with a ported barrel? - Ryan (07/12/2020)
Response:Yes it is. Thank you for visiting TargetSportsUSA.com
Question:As a follow up the back of the box is clearly labeled not for use in ported barrels. No big deal but just for anyone else that needs to know! - Ryan (07/14/2020)
Response:Thank you
Question:I just purchased a few boxes of TSA basic 9mm ammo and once I paid it went from “99+ in stock” to “out of stock” should I be worried? - Bill (07/11/2020)
Response:No, all good... your order will get filled. We are all sold out at the moment, however if you have an order number, your 9mm ammo will ship soon. Thank you for visiting TargetSportsUSA.com
Question:May I ask what country this ammo is made in if not the USA? - Dalton (07/11/2020)
Response:Czech Republic
Question:I am with Gary on this. Stop complaining about the rise in ammo prices. What if they rise to $.50 per round, you still gonna complain about $.36? @bill you may not "care" about supply and demand, but that is the American Way. Free market, you are free mr. bill to go make your own ammo and sell it for $.16 a round, go try it! Then you may change your tune about $.36 or $.50 Supply and Demand is NOT price gouging for NON essential goods. Guns and Ammo is not the same as: water, milk, bread, eggs, and gasoline, these are some essential items during a state of emergency or natural disaster. If you failed to be prepared to adequately supply yourself with guns and ammo for sour times in the world that is your downfall. Educate yourself on Florida Law. Just becasue you think or feel something is "take advantage", price gouging, does not make it so. https://myfloridalegal.com/pages.nsf/Main/5D2710E379EAD6BC85256F03006AA2C5?OpenDocument#:~:text=What%20is%20Price%20Gouging%3F,facilities%20at%20an%20unconscionable%20price. If you don't like the prices, move-on and go find a better price, or make the ammo yourself. - Paul (07/11/2020)
Response:Thank you for your input
Question:Can you estimate when you'll have this available in 147gr? Thanks. - Todd (07/11/2020)
Response:Hi Todd, we are estimating by the end of 2020, hopefully. This year has been something else.
Question:Are these packaged in the small boxes (like S&B) or the larger boxes like Bkazer and AE? - Mark (07/11/2020)
Response:Small boxes, just like S&B 9mm ammo. Thank you for visiting TargetSportsUSA.com
Question:Your consumers/customers on more than one occasion have asked where the ammo is made (who makes the 9mm ammo for TSA brand, and where?). I want to know and so would you if your were a potential buyer. You don't give a valid answer, and you just continue to dodge the question is probably not the smartest way to conduct business. Why would anyone start to buy TSA ammo? You say it is "on the box", so you are saying we need to buy it to find out where the ammo is made? I do not understand the logic. This QA is for customer service. Stop dodging the question, be transparent about where the ammo with your name on-it is being produced and by who. You should even add it to the product description, buyers would have more respect for your brand if you are honest and upfront. Why waste peoples time and run them around in circles? You are starting off on the wrong foot with TSA ammo. My $.02 - Paul (07/11/2020)
Response:It is made in the Czech Republic. Quality should matter, rather then its origin.
Question:Thank you for the reply. Respectfully, "Quality should matter, rather then its origin.", if TSA 9mm ammo is quality then why would you not disclose who makes it for you? I mean your consumers know TS USA does not own factories to make ammo. Example: if TSA 9mm ammo its made by S&B why not just say S&B is making our 9mm ammo for us under TSA brand? There's nothing to be scared of to say this. It actually looks more suspicious when you try your best to hide the facts. We all know TS USA is an online distributor. NO ONE CARES if you have an ammo company make ammo under TSA brand. We care when you try to hide the facts and truth of the origin. One thing I give TS USA credit for is no censoring my message. I thought for sure this would not see a response. - Paul (07/13/2020)
Response:not hiding the truth from the customers, competitors :-) ... just kidding
Question:Something like 3 million NEW gun owners.. and they all want just a little bit of extra ammo, plus the old time enthusiasts, Hence the demand went thru the roof. I'm going on my 3rd year with target, nothing but honest and upstanding thus far. The target brand ammo i have tried has performed very well. - Mike (07/11/2020)
Response:Thank you Mike, it will get better. Just FYI, we do a lot better (business wise) when the prices are low and supply is high. Many don't see that.
Question:I'm just wondering. If I buy a case of this ammo I'm not going to find out that the projectile is made of or contains steel and that my indoor range isn't going to allow me to shoot it in their facility am I? - James (07/10/2020)
Response:100% steel free, and it will not attract a magnet. Thank you for visiting TargetSportsUSA.com
Question:Is it made by STV. Scorpio. Guess I'll find out tomorrow when it gets here. - Steven (07/10/2020)
Response:Thank you
Question:I'm a new customer, looking forward to trying your branded 9mm ammo. Do you carry your branded ammo in 380ACP also or do you have plans to? - Jason (07/10/2020)
Response:YES, we are working on several calibers, however the .380 will be a self defense rounds featuring high end bullets quality bullets. Thank you for visiting TargetSportsUSA.com
Question:Just to chime in, yes its higher than normal but by god even other reasonable ammo sites have 1000 rds of S&B or PMC 9mm at around $450 if they have it at all. As long as they are not being predatory like Cheaper Than Dirt and things return to normal when supply returns we are being kept in supply in a state of near insurrection. - Anthony (07/10/2020)
Response:Thank you, and as mentioned before, our business is more profitable when the supply is high and demand is low.
Question:Anyone complaining needs to go to your LGS, Cabelas, Sportsmans Warehouse, Academy, etc. right now and buy 1,000 rounds of 9MM. Go ahead, I dare you. If you don't understand the current climate and supply/demand, you're just flat out ignorant on the subject and shouldn't be commenting. Target Sports has it IN STOCK and all things considered the prices are reasonable, plus it's delivered straight to your door. I for one am glad to have found this sight and to be a Premier member. Thanks! - Gary (07/10/2020)
Response:Thank you Gary...
Question:Where are the disruptions the supply chain? I'm assuming the ammo manufacturers are an essential business and are still producing ammo. I would also think that these manufacturers are also ramping up their production of ammo to meet demand. - Jim (07/10/2020)
Response:There are no components out there, shortage of brass, shortage of primers, shortage of bullets....all across the board.
Question:This is not a bad price it is in line with the shops in my area. The good news is you have 9MM ammo where most are out! I hope your brand works out so I can give it a try when I am needing more. - Ralph (07/10/2020)
Response:Thank you Ralph, the situation is not helping anyone. What good is the price high or low wen we don't have enough product. Some don't understand that.

Response:it will get worse ....
Question:Just curious, you say it will take a long time to bring up the inventory levels back to normal. What are your expectations on this? Months? A year? THANKS! - Gary (07/10/2020)
Response:Hello Gary, the demand is greater then it was after Obama re-election and Sandy Hook and it took a Republican President and 5 years for all the ammo to get back to "normal" levels. It will take a very long time, keep in mind that uncertainty is the new normal and since there wa soo much money printed in the last few months, dollar itself lost some value making the prices go up as well... we can go on and on.....Huge Elephant that is looming over is the virus and if the shutdown happens again :-( .... that will be a devastating factor.
Question:Is this made in the USA? Thanks. - James (07/10/2020)

Question:You guys gotta be kidding me with this price! 120% markup over Blazer at 7.99 a few months ago. I do not care about the supply and demand problem for ammo and the huge demand for it. But to take advantage with this price at this time is not right, and those are not the words I really wanted to use. I would never put my name on this ammo box. You guys a dam fine company but this??? bill r viet vet 68-69 - bill (07/10/2020)

Question:Wow 92$ more than Federal equivalent 1000 rounds :( Should we expect higher prices and severe shortages for the foreseeable future? I understand the situation and am not trying to fault Target USA which is a superb company. - Mark (07/09/2020)
Response:Yes, unfortunately is a blood bath out there in order to get any ammo products right now. The supply chain has been disrupted and it will take a long time to bring up the inventory levels back to normal and once that occurs all the prices will drop again and back to normal, although we may not see that again, since soo much money has been printed in the last few months that the currently itself has lost its value. Sorry about the rant....
