Great value. Accurate, clean, and good price. However, my 1911 didn’t always love the flat nose. Had a couple malfunctions out of the 1,000 rounds I purchased. Didn’t think it would matter as my EDC rounds are JHPs (similar or same profile) and I’ve never had a malfunction. But I did get two malfunctions (out of 1,000) with these UMCs. And the only difference between these and the Win white box, PMC, Win service I usually plink with (all of which I’ve never had a single malfunction) is the grains (230 vs 185) and the profile (round nose vs flat).

These shoot arrow straight at 25 yards, they do produce a bit of flame out of the muzzle, but during daylight it isn't an issue. The recoil IS noticeable over the 230 grain Remington rounds but can be managed once you get a mag or 2 down range.

VERY accurate and over all good shooting 45 ammo. Only 4 stars as it does not have a flash suppressant and is smokey. Produces huge white fire balls in the lighting of an indoor range (regardless 4" or 5" barrel). In low light or night practice this would be blinding. But for day time range practice it can be quite fun having such a huge fire ball blasting from the front of your pistol. I would/will buy more.

I bought this ammo to use in a Smith and Wesson Governor with moon clips as speed loaders. I feel that under normal usage these will probably perform practically as well as 45 long colt and so much less expense that you can actually afford to shoot and practice. I can save the long colts for the heavy work and practice with them somewhat less. I did also like the idea of the greatly increased velocity of these 185 grain loads over the slower velocities of some loads.

The Remington UMC 45acp 185 grain target ammo is the most accurate factory ammo I have found in over 30 years of shooting 45 autos. My Glock 41 shoots amazing at distance with this round and chronos at 1150fps as well as my various 1911s eat it up with no problems, it's also exceptionly clean. It's really worth spending a little more for quality ammo when it improves your accuracy as much as this ammo does. If your shooting steels you owe it to yourself to try a box of this ammo. Fast, accurate and clean it's a great value.

I've gone through over 400 rounds in my 1911 with zero problems. I recently tried another cheaper manufacturer and had a few problems. I learned my lesson and won't use anything else! Target Sports USA has awesome customer service and I get my ammo in 3 days every time. I won't buy anywhere else.
