So....I’ve shot the older soft point Remington core lokt 95 grain ammo out of my Rem 700 243 rifle with synthetic stock. Not an expensive rifle by any means but darn accurate and reliable to say the least. Shooting this ammo side by side with the more expensive federal fusion 95gr ammo, the both of them perform identically. 1/2 moa or better consistently with both rounds. I have not shot this new ballistic tip, but am excited to see how they perform. I’m expecting the same results or better. Ultimately the new ballistic tip should perform better when hunting with it which I’m anxious to see soon enough on an antelope hunt I’m goin on in TX where we will be shooting 350-500yards on average. This will be the one round that I’d like to use and see how consistent it performs. I love the price, and have never had bad performance from this round. Some say they would never use it when hunting because it’s a cheap round. I beg to differ as I’ve never had any issues with it for repeatability, performance or feeding in my gun. I’m expecting better ballistic results with the new bullet vase standard SP lead soft point bullet in the older rounds. I would recommend this, especially for anyone on a budget. Can’t really go wrong with it in my opinion.
