Berger Hybrid OTM Tactical 6.5mm Creedmoor Ammunition 130 Grain Boat Tail - 65-31021
The Berger Hybrid OTM Tactical 6.5mm Creedmoor 130 Grain rifle ammunition is engineered for superior consistency, accuracy, and ballistic performance at long range. At the heart of this round is the 130 Grain Berger Hybrid Open Tip Match bullet, which features a hybrid ogive combining tangent and secant shapes. This design allows for less sensitivity to seating depth and makes tuning easier while providing a flatter trajectory and reduced wind drift—ideal for shooters seeking precise downrange control. The bullet is finished with a boat tail base, enhancing its aerodynamic stability during transonic flight, and is constructed using J4 Precision Jackets that ensure unmatched concentricity and minimal dispersion. These jackets are held to an exacting tolerance of +/- .0003 inches, making them a top choice among custom bullet makers and competition shooters. Paired with high-quality 6.5mm Creedmoor brass, temperature-insensitive powder, and match-grade primers, this load delivers performance that rivals hand-loaded ammunition. Designed for shooters who won’t settle for less, this round is a benchmark in precision for demanding long-range applications.

I expected these to
"I expected these to blow the competition out of the water. But unfortunately it was quite average for factory match ammo. Dont get me wrong, it's good ammo. 10 shot group was 1" at 106y. Very good But velocity consistency was rather poor. Especially for the price. Out of 39 shots (1 didn't read) : Standard deviation was 22. 9fps, extreme spread was 100fps. Oof It made for a rather rough time at 1000y. To say the least. Compare this to 130gr norma golden target. Which had a standard deviation of 17, extreme spread of 66. And importantly, almost half the cost. It's lapua brass though. So if you reload, or plan to, that may improve the value proposition significantly."
