Speer Gold Dot 9mm Luger Ammunition 124 Grain Jacketed Hollow Point - 23617GD review offers the following information; Speer Gold Dot ammunition continues dominating the law enforcement community! Gold Dot high performance handgun ammunition has earned the trust of thousands of law enforcement officers across America and around the world. Its proven reliability for tough jobs has made it the top duty ammunition on the market today. Private Citizens too, can count on Gold Dot's superb performance, accuracy, and reliability with their Personal Protection line; whether consumers need the best for concealed carry, home protection, or target shooting, Gold Dot delivers, shot after shot. This Speer Gold Dot 9mm Luger ammunition is loaded with a 124 grain Jacketed Hollow Point bullet. Speer bonds the jacket to the core one molecule at a time. This process eliminates core-jacket separation, which is the leading cause of handgun bullet failures and often inherent in the design of conventional bullets. The hollow point cavity is formed in two stages. The first establishes how far the bullet can expand; the second controls the rate of expansion. This patented two-step cavity formation gives Speer engineer’s incredible control in the design process. Each bullet caliber and weight is tuned for optimum expansion and penetration. The bullet is finished to provide a smooth profile for reliable feeding in semi-auto handguns.
Speer Gold Dot Ammunition is loaded with bonded core bullets and designed for home defense and personal protection.
9mm Luger ammo is reloadable, features nickel plated brass cases and Boxer primers.
Bonding the jacket to the core means the elimination of core-jacket separations and superior weight retention.
