Rated 4.82 out of 5 across over 146 verified reviews and growing, with over 127 5-star ratings and growing, Federal Champion 9mm Ammo pairs a 115 grain Full Metal Jacket bullet with brass-cased, Boxer-primed construction for training and target work. This federal 9mm load is a 9mm 115 grain full metal jacket option built around familiar range-ready handling, reloadable cases, and the Federal Champion training format.
Why Shooters Choose Federal 9mm Luger
- Training-ready FMJ design: The 115 grain Full Metal Jacket Round Nose bullet is designed for target shooting and training. FMJ loads are commonly chosen for range practice because the jacket helps maintain a smooth exterior profile.
- Federal 115 performance: This load is listed at 1125 fps muzzle velocity with 323 ft lbs of muzzle energy. Those specs make it a straightforward federal ammo choice for practice in 9mm Luger firearms.
- Brass-cased and reloadable: Federal uses reloadable brass cases for this Champion load. The primer type is Centerfire / Boxer, a familiar setup for shooters who collect brass.
- Indoor-range minded projectile: The manufacturer states the projectile uses a copper-alloy coating to help minimize lead-exposure risk in indoor ranges. The lead core is fully encased in a copper-alloy jacket.
- Broad firearm fit: Federal states this ammunition feeds well and performs reliably in a wide range of 9mm firearms, including Glock, Sig Sauer, and Smith & Wesson models. Always confirm your firearm is chambered for 9mm Luger before use.
- Box and case options: Packaging is listed as Box of 250 / Case of 1000. That makes this Federal Champion ammo easy to consider for both regular range sessions and bulk planning.

Federal seems to be
"Federal seems to be on top of things with this latest batch. Shoots really well out of Glock and 2011s that I compete with. Handles steel poppers well. Accurate and feels consistent. Doesnt experience the projectile setback like I've been having with CCI Blazer brass lately in my 2011."
