Why Shooters Choose CCI 22 LR

• Reduced perceived noise: CCI designs Quiet-22 for a lower sound signature than standard velocity rounds, making it useful where noise is a concern.
• Low-velocity performance: The 710 fps muzzle velocity supports the quiet-shooting purpose of this load while still delivering 45 ft lbs of muzzle energy.
• Classic rimfire bullet: The 40 grain Lead Round Nose projectile is a familiar 22 LR profile for range practice, plinking, and informal target work.
• Rifle-focused use: CCI lists this load as ideal for bolt-action and single-shot rifles, especially in noise-sensitive areas.
• Semi-auto guidance: For CCI Quiet 22 semi auto questions, CCI notes manual cycling may be required in semi-automatics; product Q and A also states this load will cycle an AR-22 rifle.
• Bulk-ready packaging: Available as Box of 500 / Case of 5000, giving CCI Quiet 22 bulk buyers a practical format for regular shooting.
• Beginner-friendly feel: The reduced report makes CCI Quiet 22LR a strong option for introducing newcomers to the shooting sports.

What Customers Say

Customer feedback is strong at 4.6 out of 5 across over 454 verified reviews and growing, with over 367 5-star reviews and growing.

Impressively quiet from pistols even with no suppressor. Does not reliably function semi-auto firearms in factory configuration, but that is to be expected. Significantly less drop inside 25 yards than I expected (approximately 1-2" below CCI 40gr MiniMag).

Ammo does not cycle in my 10/22 or p322. Rifle becomes bolt action in a way. But that's ok. It's very quiet, like a loud clap with your hands. Great for pest control in the back yard. Rabbits vere destroying our garden. Not any more.

OLEG S.

Another great niche round. Great for shooting suppressed bolt-actions or for function testing firearms after they have been cleaned and disassembled/assembled. Also great for use as fouling rounds when not actually on a firing range:)

About CCI 22 LR

This CCI Quiet 22 LR load pairs a 40 grain Lead Round Nose bullet with Rimfire priming and a low muzzle velocity of 710 fps. It is built around reduced perceived noise rather than high speed, while still carrying the manufacturer-stated excellent accuracy shooters expect from the Quiet-22 line.

CCI positions this 22lr quiet ammo for bolt-action rifles, single-shot rifles, and areas where a quieter report matters. Lead Round Nose bullets are a common rimfire choice for paper targets, plinking, and general practice, so CCI Quiet 22 LR fits range sessions where comfort, sound management, and simple operation are priorities.

For shooters comparing the 22 LR category across the CCI lineup, this Quiet-22 option focuses on reduced perceived noise, a 40 grain Lead Round Nose bullet, and bulk-friendly packaging. Choose the box or case format that fits your range routine, including bulk ammo needs, while staying within the CCI Quiet family.
