Federal Fusion MSR 223 Ammo 62 Grain Bonded Soft Point - F223MSR1
Rated 4.78 out of 5 across over 55 verified reviews and growing, including over 47 five-star reviews and growing, Federal Fusion MSR 223 62 grain ammo is built around a Bonded Soft Point for hunting-focused performance. Why Shooters Choose Federal 223 Remington
- 62 grain Fusion design: The Bonded Soft Point uses a molecularly fused jacket around a pressure-formed core, a construction intended to keep the bullet together while supporting accuracy.
- MSR-focused propellant: Clean-burning, low-flash, fast-burning propellants are used to boost velocity through typical-length MSR barrels.
- Verified performance specs: This Federal Fusion 62 grain load is listed at 2750 fps with 1041 ft lbs of muzzle energy.
- Free-floating firing pin compatibility: The primer is compatible with rifles that have free-floating firing pins, matching the MSR-oriented purpose of the load.
- Brass Boxer case: Reloading-minded shooters will recognize the brass case and Centerfire / Boxer primer, though this item is loaded ammunition, not component bullets.
- Case iris confirmation: The military-style colored case iris provides visual confirmation of proper case metallurgy.
- Hunting-oriented use: Federal states this Fusion MSR 223 load is designed for big game and long-range applications where this caliber is legal and appropriate.

Accurate and nearly identical point of impact to Speer Gold Dot 223 62 grain, IMI 5.56 M193, CBC/MAGTECH 5.56 M193 and MEN M193.

Accurate, hard hitting and bonded jacket. A bit expensive, but I keep plenty on hand. Runs well in my Keltec RDB.

About Federal 223 Remington
Federal Fusion MSR 223 is a purpose-built 223 Remington hunting load using a 62 grain Bonded Soft Point bullet. A bonded soft point is generally chosen when a shooter wants expansion with the jacket and core staying together better than a conventional non-bonded design.
This Federal Fusion MSR load is also tailored for modern sporting rifles, with propellants selected for typical MSR barrel lengths and a primer suited for free-floating firing pin systems. The brass case, Boxer primer, and Box of 20 or Case of 200 packaging make it easy to buy for a rifle setup you already use.
If you are comparing 223 Remington hunting loads in the Federal lineup, this Federal Fusion MSR option brings a bonded soft point design, MSR-oriented components, and practical box or case purchasing. Select the case option when you want bulk ammo for training, sight-in, and field preparation.
